I wanted to make pickle burgers just like Pickles blt a lalaloopsy scroll down to see her

Pickles B.L.T is the busiest rollerskating waitress in Lalaloopsy Land. She's a fast-talker with no time to spare. She loves to chew gum, call everybody "Sugar", and carry lots of plates at once, even though she sometimes drops them. Her name comes from the key ingredient to her famous signature specialty - the pickles in her very own pickle burger! As well as the delicious B.L.T sandwich Pickles serves to all of her customers. Birthday May 21st which is National Waiter and Waitress Day.Sewn from a Waitress' Uniform and her pet is a cute hot dog.

A peaceful walk along the Staffs & Worcester canal this afternoon, from Aldersley to Tettenhall. 

Tunstall Water Bridge

Well, it would have been rude not to. I think they were happy to see us at Cupcake Lane. They must have been worried as we haven't been in for a while. 

This is the Wildside Activity Centre boat. Might be a good Home Ed group activity. 

Rosie enjoyed reading the history of the canal. Now you can too, and find out what the sheep were doing in there!

Chase Home Ed

Today we went to Chase Home Ed group.  

It was a lovely friendly group in a nice building with an amazing play area outside.  Sarah made new friends and had a lovely time. We'll definitely be going back there.  It's well worth the 50 minute journey.

Today we went to the German Christmas market in Birmingham

We went on a train there. Fortunately, this time we got seats.

We liked the reindeer fur. It was very soft. The man said it wasn't Rudolph, so we'll still be ok for Christmas.

My favourite scent is the cinnamon.

Lisa came with us. She is an expert on the German market and is thinking of pitching a tent there.

There were strawberries inside the chocolate.

Back home on the train. Seated again.

FUNGUS OF THE WEEK here is our fungus.

We found this on a tree stump near Warstones library. It really was quite spectacular.

Here is my fungus that I designed scroll down too see it. My fungus name is called Muffin caps try and design your own fungi it can be edible poisonous be found in forests canals dead logs it can be big small mushroom caps or ink caps appear in spring summer autumn winter and late in spring summer autumn or winter if yours is edible what is the taste marshmallow muffin chocolate lemon sweet sour spicy hot cold fresh or taste like doughnuts (Mine is edible mine appears in late summer to early autumn   found in canals and  woods also tastes like muffins.) so get the printibals here. (Printouts to follow at a later date....)

This & that

Gorgeous Autumn day for a bike ride. We went the other way up the railway walk, towards Himley.

We took our picnic to Bratch Locks, where we weren't expecting to see any boatlife as Dimmingsdale is closed, but we were very surprised to see NB Dream Maker. We had a nice chat with the Dream Maker people, who have a residential mooring by Awbridge Lock, this side of Dimmingsdale which is why they could get as far as Bratch. 

Tettenhall Wood School had an open Maths morning so we did some maths games with Ellen. Sarah also enjoyed playing in their fabulous playground.

We've started preparing for Christmas. This year, Sarah will be printing our wrapping paper.

Hey this is FUNGUS OF THE WEEK it is not really this fungus is a FLY AGARIC  its used in fairy stories

if you see elfs sitting on it it was not really a fungus its a Christmas decoration.

We walked down to Dimmingsdale lock because we knew that it had been closed for work to be done. This was the reason why Bratch was so quiet recently, and why there was no locksman there. We went to find out what was going on. Sarah asked the CRT (Canal & River Trust) man and he told us that they were repairing the lock to stop it leaking. This is how it was leaking before work started. 

A dam was placed further back from the lock gate (bottom left, below) and the lock had been drained to enable work to be carried out. You can see the hole (sluice) in the lock gate which is opened when you use a windlass to raise the paddle. This lets the water through to equalise the levels.

At the bottom of the lock another dam was made to hold the water back.

Before fungus of the week we had a walk home.

Here is our real FUNGUS OF THE WEEK it is might be a parasol or bonnet if you are a fungus expert you might know what is it.

No rings not sure if it is poisonous or not.
